Bar A Bar has the grimy appeal typical of many of the best Dalston clubs. However, what the underground club lacks in aesthetic finery, compared to some of the best London basement bars, it more than makes up for with its progressive music policy. Home to a Funktion 1 sound system, the venue puts on regular DJ sets to rival some of the best hip hop, techno, drum and bass and house music clubs in London.

Whilst this 250 capacity basement club is only small, it always attracts great DJs making it a welcome addition to the Dalston music scene. The interior is extremely stripped back, however, this attracts a young, up for it crowd who are willing to get stuck in and enjoy a night out without the frills.

Promotion for their one off parties is limited so make sure to keep your ear to the ground to find out what's occuring. Bring bags of energy and some comfy shoes for what is bound to be a messy night.
