Ketel One 80 Bar

Description

Created by renowned designer Christopher Jenner, the new space boasts floor to ceiling windows that provide a fantastic backdrop to the eye-catching copper bar. The bar and stools took six weeks to complete, using an incredible 1000kg of copper to evoke the pot stills used to distil Ketel One Vodka.

With seating around the edge of the bar, customers will have the chance to marvel at the intricate Indian hand carved woodwork that depicts scenes of Babylon from the Gilgamesh period, whilst enjoying an expertly created Ketel One cocktail.

Christopher Jenner describes the bar as a way to €œcapture the relationship between the expert craftsmanship in Ketel One and that of a master metal craftsman€, seeing it as €œa great opportunity to see a beautiful material used in a uniquely challenging and modern way.€

Established in 1691 by the Nolet family, Ketel One is named after the original copper pot still, €œDistilleerketel #1". The distillery in Schiedam, Holland has seen ten generations of Nolets taste each handcrafted batch of the premium Vodka.

The Ketel One 80 bar at Gilgamesh will be open on Friday and Saturday nights. The bar is also available for private hire.
