Tom Elwes is an exciting, acutely observational comic with a large social media presence. A lifelong Londoner, the stand-up, writer and actor is a regular at both the Top Secret and Vauxhall Comedy Clubs. Tom’s online following has now reached nearly 100k followers on Instagram and TikTok combined, and exceeded 60M views on his comedy skits with a total of 2.8M likes on his TikTok content. He
His show Carpe DM had a sell out run at the Fringe in 2022.
Some comedians make you work for the laugh. Not Jake Steers. His conversational stand-up pulls you in within seconds, and by the end of the set you feel like you have been in on a very funny secret all along.
He has built a solid reputation on the London comedy circuit through consistency, warmth, and a writing style that resonates with audiences of all kinds. His credits include The Stand Up Club, Hot Water Comedy Club, and Top Secret Comedy Club.
A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, Mike Gunn describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”. He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likable and funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic. Just a bit misunderstood.
