Movies Under Moonlight & Views Of Sydney Harbour: Westpac Openair Cinema Is Back

Westpac Openair Cinema | Sydney | DesignMyNight

Bubbles and beautiful views in Sydney.

It’s synonymous with summer in Sydney and now it’s making a welcome return early next year. That’s right, Westpac Openair Cinema has announced its program for 2022 and we couldn’t be more excited.

Widely known as the most beautiful cinema in the world, this one promises gorgeous views of Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline, all by the historic Farm Cove next to Royal Botanic Gardens.

But we know you want to hear about the movies... Prepare for the eagerly awaited King Richard, Bond behemoth No Time to Die, Lady Gaga in House of Gucci and the Australian premiere of Death on The Nile, plus many more. The outdoor cinema’s three-storey-high screen promises to once again feature state-of-the-art Dolby Digital surround sound so you can clearly hear all the action. Remember to keep Friday 18th February free as it’s been reserved for a repeat of the fastest-selling flick of the season.

Our advice? Get down early and watch the dramatic unveiling of the 350sqm screen from the harbour. Resident DJs will be providing the tunes and there’s an array of food and drink available to suit even the fussiest of folk, so all that’s left is for you to watch and admire the views.

Westpac Openair 2022 runs from Thursday 6th January to Tuesday 22nd February 2022 and can be found down Fleet Steps, Mrs. Macquaries Road, CBD 2000. On a quest for more vistas? We’ve rounded up Sydney’s best bars with spectacular views - click here.
