Lovers of a meaty morsel (or whole slab) rejoice; this purveyor of Argentinian dining has landed in Newcastle city centre, bringing its winning mix of sultry interiors and quality Angus beef. Having also recently opened in Liverpool, while boasting Manchester, Edinburgh and London locations too, Gaucho is ensuring the Toon is equally well-fed.

Making a Grade II listed building on Market Street its home, this UK-wide stalwart of the steak scene has elegance covered. Think burnt orange, navy and metallic accents, alongside a marble-topped bar and range of private dining spaces. Choose between wagyu empanadas, shrimp ceviche or nduja butter-slathered scallops for starters, before moving onto the signature cuts. From marbled ribeye with firecracker chimichurri to peppercorn-sauce covered fillet and marinated churrasco, there's plenty to sink your teeth into here. As for Sundays? Expect roast dinners on the cards.

Better yet, Gaucho Newcastle offsets its beef's carbon footprint at the source, supporting reforestation in the Amazon. Tasty and sustainable? That's what we like to hear.
