Long-forgotten beers from Manchester’s past are being given a new lease of life by four of the city's modern breweries.
So this is your chance to get a taste of Manchester's rich brewing heritage.
What's more, beer historian Ron Pattinson will be on hand to speak about the beers and provide some insight into the city's brewing past.
Three of the recipes have been plucked from the history books of Manchester’s oldest surviving family brewer, JW Lees, and adapted to account for modern tastes and techniques with Ron's help.
Blackjack Brewery will recreate the 1951 C Ale, a style of dark, strong ale that was specific to Manchester, Squawk Brewing Co is creating an interpretation of Lees’ 1952 Stout, while Beer Nouveau is looking back as far back as 1903 to brew a XXX strong ale.
Meanwhile, Stalybridge-based Tickety Brew will revive the Invalid Stout from now-extinct brewery Heginbotham’s.
The beers will be available from 6pm, with Ron Pattinson giving a talk at 7.30pm.
