Atlas Biomed Talk "Listen To Your Gut", featuring Miguel Toribio-Mateas
Discover how the microbes in your gut influence and interact with your body’s other systems with Atlas Biomed. Brought to you by the UK’s at-home microbiome testing company, you will take a journey into the fascinating interconnectedness of the microbiome, the brain and wellbeing with Miguel Toribio-Mateas, a clinical neuroscientist and nutritionist with 10 years' experience under his belt. Miguel has the rare talent of translating complex research into take-home messages for non-sciency mortals.
We haven’t found any other scientist able to add a house music soundtrack to microbiome science, getting people to learn while they dance to the disco beat. Come join us and let’s gut the party started!
The Gut Stuff will be taking over Manchester Technology Centre from Wednesday 20th February - Saturday 23rd, so make sure to come by anytime. To find out more about what else is going on, make sure to visit @thegutstuff on Instagram and our website thegutstuff.com.

The Gut Stuff was set up after twins Alana and Lisa (aka The Mac Twins, the Love Island DJs) became the “chief guinea pigs” for Professor Tim Spector and the Twin Research department at Kings College. They discovered that despite having 100% the same DNA, their guts have only 40% the same microbiota, which could explain why their bodies behave so differently.
