What they say:

Jerk chicken has been overdone and done wrong - until now. The Drop is Chorlton's answer to an individual restaurant where you'll find the spirit of the South American islands mixed up behind the bar and cooked up in the kitchen. Imagining the Caribbean like it should be, The Drop is a dashboard of eccentric artwork printed on the walls, reclaimed furnishings and bold colourways to really ignite your eating experience. Proving that size isn't everything, the 30 cover space will do more than please its punters with the spread of spiced concoctions and Curried Goat.

What we say:

These guys don't jerk off when it comes to knocking up Caribbean cuisine. Reclaiming this overdone outfit to its raw, originality and firmly planting its roots as the latest eatery to do it right, do it real and do it best, The Drop is a cafe-bar where you'll find the soul of the Caribbean fused with some creative tinkerings in the kitchen. We're definitely partial to a Modern twist or two, and the Reggae Roast these guys are dishing out sounds like an edible Bob Marley tune.
