What they say:
The opulent Mahiki brand is arriving in Manchester, thanks to the work of dubbing property developer and Manchester United legend Gary Neville. The former footballer has worked closely with investors LJ Partnership, and will be opening the renowned nightclub on Centre Street in the heart of Manchester. Sticking to the brand, the venue will have a distinctive tiki theme, serving a selection of exotic and tropical-inspired cocktails. With the London and Dubai sister nightclubs frequently hosting members of the royal family and a-list celebrities, expect to find a few famous faces in this new Manchester venue when it opens.
What we say:
The Albert Estate area has seen a huge amount of development over the last decade, with LJ Partnership pumping in a total of £40 million as it builds its property portfolio. The venue will be a success; after all, Mahiki is without question one of the most luxurious club names in Europe. Teaming up with a Mancunian icon like Gary Neville is another great move. With a few properties already to his name and legendary status in the city, the former footballer is exactly the kind of name that Mahiki needs if it's going to find its feet in the Northwest and thus recreate the opulent, stylish status enjoyed by its two other venues.
