Ale fans ahoy! The Oast House in Spinningfields Manchester hopes to sail into the Guiness Book of World Records on Weds 7th August, hosting the largest ale tasting event EVER. To break the previous World Record (a gathering of a mere 267 tasters), beer fans new and old are required to toast at the Oast, with three measures of the finest ales from local brewers.
Master of ceremonies is beer guru Warren McCoubrey who’ll be on hand to talk thirsty contenders through three samples from The Oast House's lip- smacking line up. Drawing on more than 15 years of industry knowledge, plucky tasters will leave fully armed with information about the appearance, aroma and flavour of each option from the experts. It’s your chance to find out more, ask questions - and try a `h-Oast` of beers on the way!
This FREE party sets sail at 6 pm with a Guinness World Record adjudicator on board to announce the success of the cask-cracking attempt live on stage. Needless to say once the record has been smashed, there's a flagon of fun to be cracked open! Rising stars Acoustic Flair will play the night away on the Aperol Stage and to celebrate there's one of the best beer selections in town to get to grips with, not forgetting the Oast's ale-loving menu including prime burgers, juicy grilled meats and Deli Boards.
Arrive from 5pm, tasting begins promptly at 6pm or just pop along for the spectacle!

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
