Brodsky

Description

Named after the famous violinist Adolph Brodsky who was the longest serving principle that the Royal Northern College of Music has ever had, and being situated just inside the main foyer of the RNCM, it's clear that Brodsky is perfectly suited for those who want to enjoy a good old-fashioned drink in a learned and impressive location. With the RNCM beautiful architecture outside and the sleek and understated design of the interior, Brodsky is a great-looking venue that is perfect for food and drink at lunch as it is a glamorous evening before taking in one of the performances that take place at the RNCM. And with the calls over the speaker when the concerts start, and the ability to pre-buy drinks for the intervals, Brodsky knows how to look after it's patrons.

With its restaurant and bar areas, Brodsky is a good choice if you want to impressive your friends and clients with the venue and it's elegant atmosphere, as well as the sophisticated food made up of various pasta dishes and traditional English mains. The kitchen staff make great pains to use local produce and Fair Trade products wherever possible. And whilst it certainly has the food of a glamorous restaurant, as well as a great selection of wine, the bar has a wide range of cask ales, draught beers and lagers. With one of the real ale pumps regularly providing ale from Manchester's Hyde's brewery, and another with regularly changing guest ale, Brodsky makes sure it has its pub credentials too.

If you're taking in a performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, or even a low-brow performance at the nearby Manchester Academy, Brodsky is a great choice for pre-show eating and drinking.
