You stand in a dark room, swirling ice in an empty glass, wondering if the frosty feeling in your heart will ever thaw.
A shadowy silhouette shrouded in purple light approaches you.
Their voice is soft and low, the velvet grace of the words, the transcendent covenant, is just a sketch of the things to come.
Your pulse quickens and the breath catches on your lips.

Step into this enchanting world of words and desire as the Poetry Brothel sets the stage for an unforgettable evening at the Century. As you enter a dimly lit parlour, you'll be transported to a realm where poets become performers, and verses ignite the flames of imagination. It's an experience that blurs the lines between literature and live entertainment, leaving you craving for more.

At the Poetry Brothel, every interaction is a tantalising encounter. Throughout the evening, you'll have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one readings with our resident poets, as they whisper their carefully crafted verses directly into your ear. Let their words entwine with your thoughts, kindling a connection that transcends the ordinary and delves deep into the realm of the extraordinary.

The title for this first edition is "Dress the wound, reveal the beginning." Live performances run from 8 to 10 pm and 1 on 1 poetry installations run from 10 pm to 1 am.

TICKETS £15 for general admission or £20 for admission plus a one-on-one poetry session. Please click here to buy.

I'm writing this on behalf of Artists for Gaza. We did not consent for this listing. The information is outdated and the ticket link is not going to the right platform. Our ticket sale is £35 and not £50 so please go to our website www.artistsforgaza.org.uk to get your cheaper ticket. We have contacted Design My Night to flag this.

While the tour by Dr Green was very well presented and interesting, the little scenes in between were incredibly poorly planned and rehearsed, to comical effect, but below expectations at this price point. We were also expecting more than one small cup of hot chocolate halfway through the freezing cold tour, as the ticket cost of £35 is definitely on the high side for a packed group like this. We still enjoyed the tour itself, but expected a lot more.
