The Boathouse London and Ninety One Living Room have teamed up to bring you a series of intimate live jazz shows every Thursday, in the new and exclusive events space "Wood Wharf", situated in the heart of Canary Wharf. February 16th sees trumpeter/composer Grifton Forbes-Amos perform in this idyllic setting, to a limited and personal audience.
ABOUT GRIFTON FORBES-AMOS
24 year old Grifton Forbes-Amos is a London based trumpeter/composer who has been playing music from the young age of 10, working to indentify his sound and what music means to him. He strives to seek his sound from all the resources he's come across, creating something new while still paying homage to Jazz music he loves.
Since 2017 he has been making himself more known in the Jazz scene, constantly developing his sound through the genres he regularly performs in like: Jazz, Latin music, Fusion, Afrobeat and many more.
After finishing his studies in 2021 Grifton continued on to be apart of bands such as: TC and the Groove family, Neue Grafik Ensemble and many more. As well has performing with bands/projects like Nubiyan Twist, Soweto Kinch, Shabaka Hutchings and Blue Lab Beats.
ABOUT THE BOATHOUSE
Inspired by intimate speakeasies and chic Parisian jazz clubs, music sits at the heart of the boat's ethos with a calendar of music events and live lounge sessions with new and upcoming artists to come. Wood Wharf has been dubbed as a 'new piece of London' balancing a unique waterside setting with a welcoming green space, where career and social life combine, making this the perfect location for an exciting addition to the London music and events scene.
Measuring 70ft x 12ft the venue boasts an intimate living room, a bar and seated area, a luxurious bathroom and a rooftop which spans the entire length of the boat. The low lit lighting provides a soft amber glow throughout with terracotta and dark green velvet seating and rattan chairs, round tables with Ikat print lamps, Persian style rugs and brass finishings throughout. A touch of luxury underneath the impressive Canary Wharf skyline.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
