Boom! are launching a rocket on London Town.

Ahdeesa (experimental hip-hop) and ank-hara (alternative R&B) are delighted to announce the release of their debut albums.

In this occasion, they curated an exceptional line-up of sensual, experimental and futuristic R&B, afrofuturistic and alternative hip-hop and urban music.

The venue :

The Cause, in Tottenham, is a temporary DIY space, celebrating dance music culture, London nightlife, independent business and positive mental health. The space is closing in January so join us to make history !

Line-up :

Ahdeesa : Nigerian born, he starts producing music after a leg injury that diverts him from his professional football career. Ahdeesa composes and expresses freely through instinctive rap, with an original approach that is imprinted by traditional Yoruba music.

ank-hara : Affiliated with music collectives 12PL (France) and Suede? (UK), ank-hara sings and produces about her emotions. Her unique sound has been described as an “ethereal Bjork in a forest with lots of shadows” and creating feelings of “being part of a seance listening”.

DiTi : Singer-songwriter Diamant Ballou and singer and producer Tulin are teaming up to create innovative, goosebump-giving R&B, with complex chords and a strong feminine powers vibe.

Captain Ope : 13 Stones of Punk Rap Soul from London Town.

Papes V : sensual and sulky R&B.

YK : One of the most authentic up and coming record producers hailing from the South of London, recently venturing into the art of rapping as a form of expression and awareness. With over ten years of experience in the field of music production, YK is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Demigosh : Active member of London-based Afro-Irish collective Blackfish, and indie band The Notas - DEMIGOSH is now proudly releasing music as a solo act. His creative impulse stems from an urgent need to reconnect with his Nigerian Yoruba roots, and to integrate this rich cultural heritage with western musical perspectives and indie influences afforded to him by his Irish upbringing. Ade has worked to create a sound that remains truthful to his identity and this complex cultural synthesis has resulted in an immersive and individual sound which is at the same time deeply personal, and universally resonant. His politically charged lyrics flow easily between English and Yoruba interwoven with his full bodied and intricate production work to present a post-apocalyptic afro-futurist vision.

Mutations : Bloc-party vibes, analog synths and drum machines.

Rishon Bondal - DJ : Rishon's ecclectic mix of dance and miami bass.
