You’re invited to join in the Campfire Club! In time-honoured fashion we will gather around roaring blazes enveloped in music and entertainment. High spirits will be maintained with good ol’ sing-a-longs, storytelling, special guests and who knows what else. Every fire will be a unique event with a magic concoction of spontaneity, rare talents and the unknown, all drenched in the sepia tones of firelight and tinged with wooded aromas.

Tim Dalling with Ian Carr, Neil Harland and Rhona Dalling

People struggle to find a term that suitably describes Tim Dalling in his many wondrous guises. Let’s just say that he’s a one of a kind, not simply as he’s a super-talented bloke, but also because he does it all with such remarkable panache.

Down the years, he’s brought tears to the cheeks of many incredulous audiences as the kilted accordion-playing fall guy with the now sadly defunct New Rope String Band…and stunned audiences with hugely-accomplished musicianship that lies at the very core of his massively-creative spirit.

Ian Carr and Neil Harland, two others who are highly regarded musicians, teamed up with him to record his latest solo CD, Eve’s Bonie Squad a release which prompted R2 magazine writer David Innes to declare: “He’s a genius.”

On tour here as a 4-piece, Tim’s daughter, Rhona is also in the line-up, having recently been praised for her own work, fRoots magazine saying her playing (on fiddle, banjo and guitar) was “like a warm embrace.”

Kris Drever’s a fan of Tim’s “unique, exhilarating brilliance,” and urges everyone he can to get out to catch the man in action. “Breathtaking,” was how he described a recent solo show. Lau sidekick Martin Green had this to say: “It was one of the best shows I’ve seen anywhere – ever!”

**Please Note: The concerts are all outside and all weather affairs thus full waterproofs are highly recommended and warm clothes. A full bar will be stocked with home-made wines, ciders, ales and the odd drop of mead too!

The Campfire Club is always wonderful, and I especially enjoyed this one held in the beautiful setting of Glenhall Wharf Gardens. Tim was brilliant, the choir were splendid and the whole evening was magical. What a way to spend a summer evening. Visited Campfire CLub on 2016-07-22

What a delightful way to spend a Friday evening. The location was a little gem - there is so much green space in London, much of which takes you by surprise when you first come upon it. The music was ideal for the setting - and you could tell that Tim Dalling has played acoustically outdoors before (often) - a great programme of songs, perfectly pitched, and covering the ground from history to politics, love and family - beautifully underscored by the inclusion of his daughter Rhona in the band. Good opening from The Great Choir of London (love the name). Size of audience was just right. Another triumph for the Nest Collective. Visited Campfire CLub on 2016-07-22
