Ham Yard Roof Terrace Summer Sessions

Monday 31 July – Wednesday 30 August 2017

Ham Yard Hotel’s exclusive Roof Terrace bar is back this summer, offering three different pop-up concepts in one month.

For cocktail lovers, choose from our Summer Sundowners session, including a selection of gin and tonics, Pimms and Campari or our second Garden to Glass session, where each of the cocktails by Group Mixologist Eoin Kenny have been inspired by the produce grown in the roof-top garden. Special ingredients include borage, lavender, jasmine, scotch bonnet chillies, rooftop Jasmine sugar and more.

If cocktails aren’t your thing, try our last pop-up of the summer, Rosé on the Roof. Sample a dazzling choice of rosé wines from around the world as the sun sets over London.

The Roof Terrace provides the perfect setting to while the night away with a cocktail or glass of rosé in hand, with its leafy garden and sweeping views over the London skyline.

Monday 31st July – Monday 7th August

SUMMER SUNDOWNERS

Join us for an aperitif while watching the sun set over London.  Enjoy a selection of gin and tonics, using botanicals and garnishes from the roof top garden or go retro with a Campari or Aperol spritz. Alternatively, guests can try our Pimms tray, perfect for sharing, choosing garnishes from a selection of freshly picked fruit and herbs from the roof top kitchen garden.

Ticket price - £15 including a Campari Spritz and entry to Ham Yard’s Roof Terrace
Weekdays – 5.30pm–10pm
Sunday – 3pm–8pm

Ingredients include borage, lavender, lemon verbena, jasmine, tomatoes and scotch bonnet chillies. Choose from a Roof Top Bloody Mary or Red Snapper to a White Strawberry Daiquiri, Apple and Fennel Cooler or Olive Martini, using olive leaf extraction from our Italian olive trees.

Ticket price - £15 including a welcome drink and entry to Ham Yard’s Roof Terrace
Weekdays – 5.30pm–10pm
Saturday – two sessions - 3pm–6pm and 7pm–10pm

Wines will be available by the glass, bottle or guests can choose to enjoy a flight of three wines, tasting a variety of what the world of rosé has to offer.

Join us on Wednesday 30 August for a biodynamic wine masterclass hosted by Frederic Grappe of Dynamic Vines. Guests will have opportunity to learn more about the exciting up-and-coming trend of biodynamic wines and sample a selection. Tickets for this special evening will be priced at £40 per person, including exclusive access to the roof, welcome drink and the masterclass.

Lovely setting and v friendly attentive staff, willing to go along with the pretence that we were knowledgable about rose wines while advising us on a good range to taste. Recommend the 'flight' option (choice of any three or four wines at a fixed price so good value if you want to try the priciest) Two flight sized glasses plus gorgeous cocktail (which was the drink included with the ticket) were ample for the pre dinner drinks we had in mind. So impressed by the staff – and the rosé wine! We were there to celebrate my mother's birthday, and the team there (especially the manager) really made a fuss of her and made it such an amazing experience – one we shall never forget. Thank you. Wendy visited Ham Yard Hotel on 20 Aug 2017

Location is great but the event itself is poor. Promoted as Rosé on Roof, I bought four tickets for ourselves and some friends visiting from abroad at £15 per ticket. To be welcomed with a vodka/iced tea mix rather than either a bottle of Rosé or at least four glasses of Rosé, was odd. We were not even offered a choice of welcome drink. For our next drink we selected a Rosé from the menu but then found it to be a very poor selection. Our choice was as equally bad. The drinks menu did not appear to be any different than what may normally be offered, despite the session being promoted as Rosé on the Roof. So much for the offering of Rosé from around the world! Excellent location, drinks and service. A little slow to get into their stride: we were overlooked by the maitre d' for the welcome drink and had to ask rather uncomfortably when later arrivals were served. However, our waiter was excellent, being friendly, attentive and helpful in navigating the menu with us. I would go again certainly but would probably shun the sniffy head waiter. My friend and I loved it. We had a spare ticket and was offered a free drink as compensation. This was fine. The evening was perfect. Staff very attentive. It wasn't too busy so we all had enough space to enjoy the delights of the roof terrace which is an oasis. We paid our bill and then stayed for another drink as we loved it so much! Thanks.
