Sonder (Sally Hodgkiss, Chris Mead and Emily Murphy) is an improvised theatre company. Formed in 2017, Sonder has a passion for improv that is heartfelt, committed and playful. The word ‘sonder’ means the realisation that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. Sonder is fascinated by people: our lives, relationships and shared experiences, and is committed to telling meaningful, improvised stories with humanity at their heart.

A two-person, multi-character improvised longform with Heather Urquhart and Jules Munns. Ten Thousand Million Love Stories is a show about love, what it means and how we succeed and fail in it.

“Clever, complicated, and relevant… Could this be the future of comedy?”
– Fringe Guru

“The perfect balance between realism and comedy slapstick… as funny as it was impressive” – Brighton’s Finest

The Society is part-show and part self-help group. Don’t worry, you are already a member. The society is composed of all of those who believe in the great and unrealised potential of mankind, including Nursery improvisers and even members of the audience. The society improvise what is, was and should be. Mankind needs us all.
