The Health and Wellbeing Event has been co-designed as a community outreach event with a purpose to be informative, empowering but aimed at investing in the black community to help better understand future health needs and how we can improve the current health service offer.
These inequalities are not new, and we know that we need to work differently with communities and with partners to ensure that there aren’t inequalities in access, experience or outcomes from the care and support people receive. None of this can be achieved by working in isolation – we need to work together. The focus of the Health and Wellbeing event is to bring the community together and take practical steps towards building trust and improving your health outcomes.
This Health and Wellbeing Event to improve health outcomes for the black community will bring together stakeholders from across North West London who are invested in improving health outcomes for the black community. Leaders from across North West London and communities together to deliver activities for you to enjoy and benefit from for free.
On the day we will give you:
- Free brunch available whilst stock lasts
- Free fun activities for all ages; drumming, steel pans, Salsa dancing, performing arts, pad boxing, face painting to name a few!
- Free Educational Webinars to inform you of where we are with the development of services
- Free On site health checks, education and support
- Live DJ and Music Plus Live Performances
- Connect you with key decision makers
- Health Care professionals from Primary Care, Maternity and Hospital Trusts
- Work towards enabling community co-led delivery of health and wellbeing services that meet your needs
- reinvest in local communities and support Black owned businesses
- Present you with opportunities to work together to go further to reduce inequalities.
