What they say:
Already popular in Walthamstow, Forest Wines have expanded to the estate agents next door in order to open a tiny bar and restaurant. Focused around a single oak table, Forest Bar + Kitchen is only open on Friday and Saturday evening at the moment, serving a menu that changes weekly. As one would expect from the wine shop, the bottles at the eatery will be centred around natural and biodynamic choices, as well as a selection of local craft beers.
What we say:
Wine is firmly back on the menu of the London drinking scene and with a recent boom of tiny bars, Forest Bar + Kitchen looks set to be a popular spot in East London. Opened in Walthamstow, the restaurant is from the same people as beloved wine shop Forest, so we know the wine is going to be top notch. The kitchen will match the drinking excellence with chef Nico Salzano heading things up. Drawing on his time spent training in Paris, the chef cooks up a menu of European and modern cuisine; think mussels, belly pork and cured meats.
