There are around 7,500 new ovarian cancer cases in the UK every year. That is over 20 each day being diagnosed.
We all hope that these cases don’t touch us personally, but it is a tragic truth that it does and in 2017, Suzie, a dear and close personal friend of our own was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer.
Together with her team at The Royal Marsden, they’ve thrown everything at this cancer including 3 rounds of surgery, 6 cycles of chemo, drugs trials and five weeks of daily radiotherapy, which sadly resulted in the loss of her fertility.
Now the last and only option is a new treatment being used to tackle this tumour- an immunotherapy drug. Because of the rarity of Suzie’s tumour, it’s not classified as a standard treatment and therefore through a technicality isn’t available on the NHS for ovarian cancer. The drug is available privately at a cost of £250,000
In order to help pay for this treatment, we are throwing a charity evening with proceeds going towards Suzie’s treatment and excess funds to Ovarian Cancer Action and their research into early detection.
Scarlett Green will be covering the cost of food, drinks and service to ensure that the full ticket price can be given to Suzie's fund.
Welcome drinks will be served from 6:30pm with 3 course dinner commencing at 7pm.

About Suzie:
Suzie is a 27 year old actress, singer, hockey player and fitness fanatic. In 2017 she was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of Ovarian Cancer and ever since has fought hard to beat it.
Her positivity and resolve has been unwavering in fighting this battle. In periods post Chemo, Suzie has continued to play for her local hockey club, completed the Prudential Ride 100 (a 2 mile Serpentine swim for Ovarian cancer Action) and run the London Marathon, raising money for a charity close to her heart, The Little Princess Trust. At the start of her chemo she donated her hair to this charity and after raised £15,000 through her one woman show, showcasing her insane talents as a singer and performer.
