Since 2015, Gunpowder has been serving the people of Spitalfields and Tower Bridge with authentic Indian cuisine, plus some quirky innovative twists - our favourite is the venison doughnuts. Now? They're heading to Soho to be the saviour of even more hungry tums from October this year.

Taking over the old Pizza Express on Greek Street, the third restaurant from husband and wife team, Harneet Baweja and Devina Seth, is set to echo the fuss-free aesthetic of its counterparts. The artist depictions boast dark wood interiors, a pretty red marble bar and chequered floors. While it may be getting a sleek makeover, the Grade II listed building will keep its existing exterior, with a touch of black paint and Gunpowder stamped in gold letters on the front.

However, the grub is the real showstopper here. Spice up your life with dishes inspired by historic clubs in Mumbai, Delhi and more, combined with the owners' love for sharing food. Chefs rustle up a lip-smacking selection of small plates, featuring many family recipes that have been passed down for generations.

Alongside a few of the classic dishes from its sister sites, such as the lamb chops and soft shell crab, you'll find new plates like whole mackerel accompanied by raw mango chutney and Chettinad duck skewers, plus plenty of delicious veggie options. Another exciting addition is their martini menu, but if it's vino you're after, then you'll be delighted to hear that they'll also be stocking an ample selection of European wines.
