Open to both members and non-members alike, the event will be hosted by Chase’s Chris Watson and will focus on the potato and apple based-spirits that are the foundation of its vodkas and gins. Chase is a regular award-winner, including ‘Best Vodka in the World’ at the prestigious San Francisco Spirits Competition and Gold Stars at the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards.
As the UK’s first and only distillery to create its own base spirit, all made from the potatoes and apples grown on the Chase farm in Hereford - it is distilled and hand bottled on the farm, making it a true ‘field to bottle’ product. Chris will lead guests through a tasting of Chase’s gins and vodkas, exploring production methods and the unique flavour of its spirits. As well as tasting them straight, Chris will demonstrate how they can be used in cocktails. Canapes such as Pigs Head with ‘ndjua’ Mayonnaise and Potato Doughnuts with Parmesan will be served from the Urban Coterie menu - specially designed by our chef patron Michelin Starred chef Anthony Demetre.
The evening will take place in the intimate members bar, which is furnished in a sleek and modern, yet relaxed manner. Tartan covered seating is punctuated by colourful leather armchairs and a mirrored bar. Set on the 16th floor the Club has panoramic views over the heart of the city. Opened in November 2015, the club is a hub for likeminded creatives in the heart of Shoreditch. As well as access to the club room, membership offers priority booking at both Urban Coterie and Tonic & Remedy and access to exclusive member events.
