Following on from the success of their original restaurant in Haggerston, the team behind Berber & Q have opened up a smaller, faster shawarma bar in Exmouth Market. The menu is inspired by the Middle East, Northern Africa and across the Ottoman. Using a charcoal grill the bar serves a selection of shawarmas and mejaderah - a mix of rice and lentils flavoured with juices from the spit.

Mixing it up from their previous restaurant, Berber & Q Shawarma Bar in Exmouth Market will be a smaller, faster affair than the original in Haggerston, adding to the authenticity of Middle Eastern communal eating. With a focus on sharwarmas and a more condensed menu, the bar will make the dish more appealing to the masses - rather than spending an evening in a restaurant they can pop by at lunch or after work. There is also a series of 'slush' cocktails exclusively to this branch, adding to the sense of informality and liveliness that is typical of sharwarma bar in the Middle East.
