Who knew Peruvian and Japanese food could pair so well together? For those that frequent Frith Street in London, the name Chotto Matte might sound familiar. Founded in 2013 in Soho, the internationally-acclaimed restaurant specialises in Nikkei cuisine, complete with a sushi counter, fancy wine display and live DJs for entertainment. And now? You can expect another location to pop up in Marylebone Village early next year.
Founder of Chotto Matte, Kurt Zdesar hopes to expand his brand through his authentic flair for food and aesthetically-pleasing plates. He has also been a part of other London favourites such as Nobu and Ping Pong so you know this next one will be good.
At the new location, you can chow down on beautifully crafted bento boxes or opt for light nibbles such as fresh seabass ceviche and wagyu gyozas. Gone veggie? No problem. They offer up vegetarian dishes such as BBQ edamame and oyster mushroom tostadas. With their passion for combining cultures and bold flavours, this is the hotspot for adventurous foodies and seafood lovers alike.
