Never for Ever’s new live jazz series kicks off in February! Hosted in the basement bar, come enjoy the start of something good with the premier performance of Tom Bevan’s new trio, featuring the amazing Flo Moore and Anatole Muster. Each with their own unique sound, they come together on the 3rd of February to pay tribute to their favourites of the contemporary jazz world - Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Chick Corea - with some original music added to the mix. Get this in your diary!
At barely 20 years of age, Basel-Based producer and accordionist Anatole Muster has already gained critical praise from both musicians and fans alike. His unique approach to modern Jazz got featured by Jamie Cullum on his BBC 2 radio show and he has collaborated with genre-bending heavyweights just as Tennyson, Kiefer and Daniel Hayn. Since moving to London in August, he has collaborated with heavyweight artists such as Blue Lab Beats, Hadrien Feraud and Gergő Borlai. This young man is a force of nature not to be missed!
Flo Moore is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has performed with many established artists, such as Jason Rebello, Pete King, Perico Sambeat, Bobby Watson, Gene Calderazzo, Zoe Rahman, Paul Booth, Albert Sanz, Henry Lowther, Paul Clarvis, David McAlmont and Judi Jackson. She has played at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, The North Sea Jazz Festival, The Royal Festival Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Sage Gateshead and the National Concert Hall Dublin. She has recorded on tracks featuring Frank Gambale, Chad Wackerman and Barry Finnerty, and worked with Grammy award winning producer Jason Miles (Chaka Khan, Miles Davis) on two albums, one of which also features legendary guitarist Dean Brown.
Tom Bevan is a drummer and composer with a large variety of influences and experiences. He has worked with Tim Berne, Soweto Kinch and Arnie Somogyi, and has studied with Jeff Williams, John O’Gallagher and Clark Tracey at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Having moved to Senegal at the age of 9, he found himself at home in the Sabar community and in bands such as Deggi-Daaj and the Doudou N’Diaye Rose Orchestra. He moved to India and has collaborated with artists in Bali, Ethiopia and Cape Verde. His music is innovative while standing deeply rooted in the Jazz tradition and that of all the music he has picked up during his travels.
