What they say:

Ealing's most illustrious pizza place is making the jump to Central London next month as it opens its Fitzrovia. Santa Maria has already seen great success in both its original Ealing location, which opened in 2010, and its Fulham restaurant which followed in 2016, and this new venture is likely to follow suit. Rumoured to be the only independently-owned pizzeria in Zone 1, this 40-cover restaurant will continue to serve up its authentic Neapolitan pizzas, but will be jumping on the plant-based bandwagon by adding more vegan options to their menus.

What we say:

Much-lauded pizzeria Santa Maria will be bringing its delicious Neapolitan pizzas to Zone 1 for the first time next month as the restaurant brand opens up its third location in Fitzrovia. Located right in the shadow of the BT Tower, the restaurant will be a no-booking venue with space for 40 covers and Art deco interiors intended to evoke the feel of the Italian coffee bars that saw huge popularity in London during the 1960s and 70s. Hugely dedicated to their homeland, Santa Maria restaurants source as much as possible from around Naples, including San Marzano tomatoes for their food and Sorrento bricks for their ovens.
