What they say:

Kingsland Road in Dalston has got another cool hangout as Three Sheets - a chilled-out cocktail bar - is opened by two brothers. Co-founder, Max Venning, used to work at The Drink Factory, the cocktail institution in Cambridge Heath, so knows a thing or two about mixology. He is, however, keen to stress that his solo venture is all his own work; the brothers have taken over the tiny space that used to be Betty's Cafe and are have given it a facelift to reveal bare-brick walls and shiny surfaces.

What we say:

We salute anyone brave enough to open a cocktail bar in East London as they go up against some serious competitors in Bethnal Green and Shoreditch. Three Sheets looks like it packs a weighty punch; the venue avoids gimmicks and themes and sticks to something low-key and pared-back for its Dalston opening. It might be simple, but we think that might be just what Dalston needs.
