Borough Market has always been a great source of inspiration to Will Beckett and Huw Gott - co-founders of Hawksmoor - which is why there’s so much anticipation for their new restaurant. Hawksmoor sources a lot of its ingredients from the foodie hub that is Borough Market, and now they’re opening a 140-cover eatery close to the source this February. You can expect your usual fix of mouth-watering steaks cooked up for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, in a grand 19th century building.
What we say:
We can’t lie, the prospect of feasting on Hawksmoor’s signature hunks of tender and sustainable meat is making us want to skip Christmas and fast-forward straight to opening day. Hawksmoor is right up there with the best when it comes to eating steak in London and 2017 is set to be a huge year for the group, with this Borough Market opening followed by a first venture overseas as they launch Hawksmoor NYC in the World Trade Center at the end of the year.
