- The Water Poet
Description
East London’s original Eurovision party is back with a bang at the Water Poet this year as Europe’s campest music competition heads to Kiev this May 13th.
Costumes, cocktails and kitsch food
The Water Poet loves a theme, and this year it’s all about the Eurovision of the SEVENTIES. While the pub itself transforms into a giant Disco ball with glitter galore, you’re invited to transform yourself in true Eurovision style.
Whether you’re a dancing queen or a Dana fan, get your seventies on this year as the costume competition returns with on the spot drinks prizes and a huge bar tab to be won for the best dressed on the night. The photobooth will of course be back in the Glitter Bar to capture everyone’s costumed glory, with a few extra bells and whistles available for those who forgot to dress up (gasp!).
The Water Poet menu will be all about the naffest nouveau cuisine with a kitsch seventies menu with favourites from prawn cocktail to chicken KIEV (see what we did there?) all day, while the bar will be slinging the chintziest of drinks- Water Poet Eurovision classic cocktails.
As always, the party starts early with the best of disco and Eurovision tunes banging out and drinks flowing throughout the day, so get down early to grab a prime spot- the competition will be blasting on all eight screens, inside the bar and out in the fairy light festooned garden.
