Homerton's The Spread Eagle is the first London to dedicate itself to complete, 100% veganism. Having recently re-opened, the pub is now completely plant-based in every way. In the kitchen, Mexican street food pop up, Club Mexicana, is in residence to pump out some truly delicious dishes that tread the line between traditional pub food and modern cuisine, with vegan scallops and "tofish" and chip burritos featuring on the new menu. Over at the bar too, not a single one of the pub's 14 draft lines has been tainted by animal products. Instead you'll find a collection of finings-free beers, small-batch natural wines and vegan takes on classic cocktails.

Recently re-opened following a short hiatus, The Spread Eagle has risen from its carnivorous ashes to become the first 100% vegan pub in London. Everything from the beer to the food to the chair upholstery is fully plant-based, with craft brews and small-batch vegan wines making for interesting bar picks, and the renowned Club Mexicana pushing the finest vegan tacos and "tofish" and chip burritos out of the kitchen. Part of a growing trend of London pubs looking to a more plant-based way of life - Islington's The Blacksmith and the Toffeemaker recently announced a fully vegan menu - The Spread Eagle is certainly helping to lead the revolution.
