Hailed as London's first vegan pub, this friendly Homerton drinking spot is doing its utmost to showcase the best plant-based food and drink in the capital. Run by joint forces of Meriel Armitage and Luke McLaughlin, everything from the beer to sofas are 100% vegan, but the same homely pub vibe pervades the venue. 

Armitage is the founder of vegan street food pop up, Club Mexicana, and the Spread Eagle kitchen serves up the most incredible range of pub food with that all-important vegan twist. Their menu includes "scallops" made from king oyster mushrooms, "tofish" and chip burritos, as well as plenty of Club Mexicana classics such as tacos, nachos and burgers.

The pub's commitment to staying free from any and all animal products extends to their bar where the Spread Eagle proudly stocks beers free from the commonly used finings, egg white, gelatine or isinglass. They also serve hand-selected small-batch wines and a carefully curated cocktail list full of cool vegan twists on old classics.
