Wine Tasting 'Christmas Day' Wine Tasting in you favourite City of London Pub! This month's wine tasting is 'Christmas Day' It's nearly upon us - Christmas. And the most important question is not "What shall I do with the hideous jumper that Auntie Mabel bought me", but "What to drink on the big day". It's the annual 'Christmas Day Wine Tasting". As we do every year we'll be taking you through the big day - from the first glass of celebratory fizz, through all the food-matching options with the big dinner, to the last glass with the last mouthful of Christmas pud, but this year we'll be doing it with a twist! We've stuck to the safe and narrow the last few years and gone with the safe choice. This year we're going to be daring, and go for the more alternative - no more the safe bet of Burgundy with Turkey - how about a spicy Gewurztraminer? Fed up with Sauvignon and smoked Salmon? What about dry Australian Riesling, or even a red Beaujolais. Booking is advised at £15 per person to join in, or £22 with a full meal.
