Welcome, welcome all to the Lamb Tavern's very special version of Le Tour de France!
If you want a unique way to follow the excitement of this year's race, this is for you. Every week we will be following the Tour by sampling the exquisite food and wines of the regions our racers ride through. We will offer something different inspired by the tastes of area, opening your mind to both the Tour and to different food & wines!
- Our first stage celebrates the region of Burgundy, which we will do by offering a free light bite to anyone who orders a large glass of Chablis on the bar!
- You will get to choose from any of these three Burgundian-influenced delicacies:
- Rosary goat's cheese on a bed of mixed salad leaves
- Squid & chorizo bowl
- Crepe Suzette
- The following week will see us in the Pays d'Oc, a region which offers more wines than you can count, therefore you will be allowed to sample any two small glasses of our four local wines for just £10!
- For the third stage the riders race over the Rhone river, so come along for lunch and sample a summer steak salad with a large glass of Cotes-du-Rhone for only £17.50!
- Finally, when the race has ended, come celebrate the tour downstairs in Old Tom's with two medium glasses of any of our Provence roses and a delicate cheese board for £20.
However, this is much more than just a series of light bites and wine, this is obviously also a race! For any of the first three events you attend, you will receive a random rider to follow throughout the Pour (tour), and when you come to the final event, if any of your riders have won in any of the 5 jersey categories of the Tour, you will win a prize! If you come to all of the first three events, you get three racers (three chances to win)!
We want to introduce you to great food and a phenomenal sport, or, if you're a fan already, make you fall in love with it even more. Follow the Tour with our Pour!

The Lamb Tavern is a grand old bar and dining room stretching out across three impressive floors on the cobbled streets of Leadenhall Market. It’s been part of the tapestry of the city of London since 1780 and is still a thriving spot today, with workers recharging their batteries after a difficult day at the office and the venue becoming available for exclusive hire at the weekends.
Step inside from this famous marketplace and you’ll be greeted by the Main Bar, a relaxed spot where you can pick between wines, spirits and a signature list of Young’s cask ales. Look out for the pub’s roaming #ThirstAiders, on call to order your drinks while cutting out queuing time at the bar. There’s also a Mezzanine suitable for drinks parties and buffets for up to 35, and a stunning Dining Room where guests can enjoy classic pub plates made up of fresh, seasonal ingredients with stunning views of the market.
Very much a popular and lively pub during the week, The Lamb Tavern can be hired out at weekends and is a truly beautiful space ideal for weddings, birthdays, Christenings and retirement parties alike.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
