I know what you're thinking. It's all well and good going to a fancy restaurant for a slap-up meal with your Valentine, but you do that every year! What you're really looking for is to kick back in a specially made 5ft tall, two tonne igloo, whilst surveying London's skyline from the tallest building in Western Europe. Well it turns out your luck is in, my friend, because DoingSomething.co.uk are teaming up with The View from The Shard to create a Valentine's event to tower above everybody else.

The pop-up event will feature a bespoke ice bar and five-foot igloo for couples to get cosy in.

Taking place on Levels 69 and 72 of The Shard, proceedings kick off at 8pm with the first 200 guests tucking into complimentary sorbetto and gelato whilst getting accustomed to the romantic surroundings. Expect hoards of fun-loving singletons to flood through the doors, perhaps looking to bag themselves a date in time for Valentine's Day itself! A collection of the capital's leading DJs will be on hand to get you heading on over to the dance floor (expect a bit of Vanilla Ice, Ice Baby) and if that wasn't enough, revellers will also be able to brag that they were present when the Guiness World Record for the 'World's Highest Urban Ice Bar' was set. 

The Urban Ice Bar at The View from The Shard will take place on Wednesday 12th February, from 8pm to 11pm. Tickets for this one-off pop-up event are priced at £35 for singletons, or just £30 each for a pair.
