QUEENS challenges you to take part in our own-ice try-athalon!

The UK’s flagship winter sport! Knock your opponents’ stone out of the bullseye (known as the ‘House’) or aim yours to slide perfectly into pole position.

Do you have what it takes to hit the puck into the micro-goal (20cm wide by 10cm tall) into our custom made Puck Shot targets? No need for ice-skates, we’ll supply you with studded ice-grips to strap onto your normal shoes (no high heals).

The last craze from the French Alps. Also known as ‘Human Curling’, you will dive onto oversized rubber doughnuts propelling yourself across the ice, towards the bullseye 20m away, points are awarded for accuracy.

The Try-athalon is 60 minutes of on-ice-time.
Up to 32 competitors at one time.
Teams are of up to 8, then halved into competing 2 squads.
Bookings are made as groups of 8 competitors. £35 per person.

Get Set...
The Official QUEENS Umpires oversee every game & validates your score cards.
We advise you to come wearing a couple of layers, as you are competing on real ice – but it’s a lot warmer than being up a mountain!
Featuring: Star of the Games, for each squad to win a bottle of prosecco.
Over 18s ONLY.

Tragic event. The photos on Queens website and similarly used by Timeout and Design my Night are not representative of the actual quality and set up of the event. Although advertised as a competition with prizes, medals and awards ceremony. None of this actually happened! We were told by one member of staff to start with curling as "people often get bored of the other activities" - being human curling and puck shooting. Therefore in an hour session, which was advertised as a three activity competition, we spent 40 minutes curling. We eventually had a different member of staff work with us who tried to be enthusiastic and actually gave us brooms for the curling (other team member said they were all being used). Overall a very overpriced event which although fun with the right crowd not as advertised at all - I would not recommend. Visited Queens: Skate-Dine-Bowl on 2018-03-16

Our group thoroughly enjoyed the winter Olympics event, all of us were new to curling and not that experienced at winter sports so was an opportunity to test them out! We had a great time and lots of laughs but an hour was just not enough time for all 3 events. As soon as we had finally got some good practice at curling it was onto the next event and with only one go each at go-nutting it seemed rushed for something we had paid £37 for. With the information stating there would be a medal ceremony and bottles of Prosecco to be given out to winners we didn't see any of this even after 3 people in our time made the hockey shot! It didn't feel that it was a winter Olympics event and probably would have spent our money better should we have just come down to a curling session. This didn't stop us enjoying our night but next time we would only be interested if it lasted longer and if some show was put into it by staff and we competed against other teams rather than just our own group.
