Have you ever considered just how much single-use waste our Christmas celebrations generate here in the UK? To give some idea, it’s estimated that 83 square kilometres of wrapping paper alone are thrown away annually.
At five star hotel Andaz London Liverpool Street we will be kicking off the festive season by welcoming you to our sustainable Christmas Andaz Salon, as part of a commitment to minimising our carbon footprint.
Here you can embrace the true Andaz ‘personal style’ ethos - and sustainable Christmas spirit - by participating in a series of free workshops run by East London creatives and artisans:
- Create a reusable wreath from dried flowers with boutique florist Rebel Rebel;
One session at 19.00 - Concoct bath bombs and salts from natural ingredients with Thrifty Creations;
Three sessions at 18.00, 19.00 and 20.00 - Join Soothe-Me in the design of your own personal vegan scent using sustainably sourced essential oils;
Six sessions at 18.00, 18.30, 19.00, 19.30, 20.00, 20.30 -
Stock up on Christmas sweet treats at the Spun Candy station by spinning and decorating your own guilt-free lollipops and candy canes made from natural flavourings and wrapped in biodegradable packaging.
Unlimited sessions between 18.00 and 20.45. No need to reserve a place, but please be advised there might be some queuing on the day.
We will be serving a selection of zero waste canapés and festive tipples throughout the evening& a cash bar will also be available on the night.
The free ticketed Andaz Salon will take place in the Andaz Studio at Andaz London Liverpool Street on 9th December 2019, from 18.00.
Please note there is limited availability for each craft station. If you do secure a ticket and cannot attend, we ask that you please kindly cancel your attendance so that we can easily allow for others to enjoy the sessions!
If you do not grab a spot for the session you wanted we’ve also opened a waiting list. This list will be activated on the day should there be any no shows at the time of each session, so you’re more than welcome to join us on the day and hopefully secure a spot then. Please note the waiting list works on a first come first served basis.
The bar will be open so you can always enjoy a drink with your bestie if you need to wait a little bit!

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
