Organisers of this year’s London Food Tech Week have revealed a mouthwatering line-up of acts and entertainment for its much-anticipated wrap-up party which will take place on Friday 24 May 2019 at Grace Hall, London, EC3V 4QT.
The party - which will be London Food Tech Week’s most experiential to date - will celebrate the
end of the week-long food technology festival with live sets from Love Island’s official DJs, Lisa
and Alana Macfarlane (The Mac Twins) as well as bestselling vegan authors and social media
sensations, Henry Firth and Ian Theasby (BOSH!).
London Food Tech Week runs from 20 to 24 May at venues across the capital and is a showcase
of the latest food trends and companies using technology to transform the food ecosystem.
Whetting the party appetite
As well as an evening of immersive food and drink experiences, London Food Tech Week’s
wrap-up party will welcome some of the food world’s most exciting DJ acts. Leading the charge
will be The Mac Twins, who will perform from 20.00 to 22.00, and BOSH! who will take to the
stage from 23.30 to 01.00.
Rising to fame as Love Island’s official DJ duo, The Mac Twins have also performed all over the
world and played for brands including Diet Coke, Armani and MAC Cosmetics. The sisters have
gained a growing following for their high energy DJ sets, both on stage and as radio presenters,
but the pair are becoming equally known for the gut health and nutrition blog, The Gut Stuff.
Through The Gut Stuff, Lisa and Alana aim to empower gut health in everyone by sharing expert
research, knowledge and advice. Their passion for gut health took hold after Lisa and Alana
became ‘chief guinea pigs’ for Professor Tim Spector and the Twin Research department at Kings
College. Professor Spector’s research found that despite having 100% the same DNA, their guts
only have 40% the same microbiota which explains why their bodies behave so differently. The
sisters decided to bring this fascinating gut research to the masses through a series of posts,
workshops, seminars and events as part of The Gut Stuff.
The party’s next course of entertainment will come from vegan superstars, BOSH!. Last month,
Henry and Ian launched their second cookbook BISH BASH BOSH! They’ll be bringing the same
energy from their viral videos to the stage with some bangin’ tunes and positive vibes.
With over 1.9 million Facebook fans and over half a million on Instagram, Henry and Ian are
behind the bestselling vegan cookbook of all time. Known for creating delicious ‘plant-based food
for everyone’ with easy-to-follow recipes inspired by meals they enjoyed when they ate meat and
dairy. BOSH! posted their first recipe video in June 2016 and have gone on to have two Sunday
Times Bestselling cookbooks and over a billion online views, truly taking vegan mainstream.
