Burns Night Ceilidh - so much fun, great band, caller was a little hard to hear, but dances were brilliant and the food was delicious, and lots of it

The ceilidhs at the Bedford are always fun. Expect dancing and sweating. It's good for beginners, but if you're an experienced ceilidh-goer you might be frustrated by the slower pace. Rebecca visited Ceilidh Night Events on 11 Aug 2015

It was amazing as the band are all incredibly talented and all of the people who attend are fun, laid back and are keen to have a great time. We can't wait for the next ceilidh at the new venue in Peckham! rachelalltimes visited Ceilidh Night Events on 29 Jan 2015

Celiedh is Amazing amounts of fun! It was a Young friendly crowd with lots of energy and excellent band members. You dont need any dancing abilities to participate, just two feet and no fear of sweating to an increasing pace of shuffling and jumping about the dancing floor. Looking forward to the next event theresa visited Ceilidh Night Events on 16 Apr 2016

Really good fun! Best to go in pairs so you don't have anyone left out. Wear comfortable shoes, and you'll be sweaty by the end. Would definitely do it again! Jessica visited Ceilidh Night Events on 11 Apr 2016

Good night, a load of fun and a great way to meet people but really really hot and no where to store coats! I would recommend going to this but dress lightly! Ashley visited Ceilidh Night Events on 03 Mar 2016

We had a great night, a little crowded a times, still a brilliant, lively night with friends, every bodyhad a smiley face, only downside was the extortionate price of drinks, karen visited Ceilidh Night Events on 12 Oct 2015

A crazy, shambolic, sweaty affair - exactly what you'd expect from a night of ceilidh dancing! The band was great but I would have preferred they teach the more traditional dances as some were given a modern twist. fournier visited Ceilidh Night Events on 30 Sep 2015

A really fun sweaty night - great fun as a beginner and very social. Definitely worth a try for anyone that likes a little dance and a really good work out! jenna visited Ceilidh Night Events on 27 Sep 2015

Absolutely brilliant night out. The band were excellent and the calling really clear, so much fun. We danced so many dances and I loved every one (and I'm Scottish so it was great to do some I've never heard of). Normally you have three times as many people in a space a fifth of the size so I think it was a great place to ceilidh. I would highly recommend! Kirsty visited Ceilidh Night Events on 22 Sep 2015

Great night, but given what the night is, the room was too small, I understand a need to maximise profits, but, at moments it was a joke how small the venue was.

Very nice, friendly crowd and atmosphere. I absolutely recommend this evening if you are tempted to try a ceilidh (absolute beginners -my friends and I!- were made to feel very welcome). I am getting a group together to go again.

Great band and really good friendly crowd, let down only by the venue which was a little too small and far too hot (no ventilation!). Dances were fun and easy enough even for beginners.

Great fun! Good sized venue for a ceilidh. The band was excellent and they called the dances in advance so beginners could enjoy too. Only downside was the windows don't open in the hall (and no a/c) so it gets very hot. Still, just have another drink to cool off!

It was really a great night: The Bedford in Balham was an excellent venue for dancing, we found a super nice crowd and the dances were very entertaining indeed even though I was a beginner.
