What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

We only ask as FIDDLE PARADIDDLE’S HOGMANAY HOOTENANNY IS BACK!

Now in its sixth year, our New Year’s Eve celebration is the only way to say goodbye to the old and hello to the new, with London’s Wildest Ceilidh Band guiding you through the final hours of 2017 and the first of 2018.

VENUE: Fusilier House, 213 Balham High Rd, London, SW17 7BQ
CLOSEST TUBE STATION: Balham

Hosted at Balham’s best ceilidh dance floor (we think) this year’s Hootenanny will feature all the traditional dances and some special new ones for the night. Our expert caller will guide you through the steps, and Fiddle Paradiddle will bring the dances alive our lively nu-folk tunes!

The bar will be stocked with beers from Westerham Brewery & Hogs Back with a selection of tasty tasty ales, lagers, and ciders, as well as wine, bubbles and cocktails throughout the night.

Buy your ticket with drinks tokens to enjoy discounted prices on ale, cider, lager, wine and soft drinks compared to buying them on the night.

  • 1 token gets you a pint of lager/ale/cider, a glass of wine, glass of prosecco or 2 soft drinks
  • 4 tokens gets you a bottle of wine, or a pitcher of ale/cider/lager
  • More drinks, including cocktails and bottles of prosecco (5 tokens) will be available on the night

So join Fiddle Paradiddle as we count down to the new year, sing Auld Lang Syne, and welcome 2018 the only way we know how – by having the best night out in Balham with your nearest, dearest, and sweatiest friends.

I have been to many of Fiddle Paradiddle's Ceilidh's and they are brilliant. It is such a fun way to bring in the new year. The band are fantastic at what they do! Highly recommended with a group of friends.

We had a great time celebrating Hogmanay with fiddle pradiddle! The music is excellent and there is lots of space to dance. Would definitely recommend to ceilidh novices and veterans alike. A great way to bring in the new year.

We had an excellent time celebrating New Year with Fiddle Paradiddle! The ceilidh dancing is fun and lively and the band provide clear directions on what to do, so newcomers can join as well. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the venue, and everyone was clearly having an amazing time. The drinks were inexpensive, and we shared a bottle between us. I am looking forward to joining them again this year.

I think that overall, the event was fun for a New Year's Eve celebration. However, one thing I really was turned off by was the quality of the drinks. I understand that the drink tokens were relatively inexpensive, but the taste of the beer and white wine were horrid. Even the cider was not very good, and I didn't think cider could taste bad! The ceilidh dancing was fun though! At times, it got too crowded, but it got sorted out as the night went on. Probably would recommend this if you are looking for a low-budget NYE celebration to do with your friends that's not a club or pub. But personally, I would prefer a nice night in with friends. Decorations and furnishing were most basic judging by the ticket price, instructions on each dance were generic and not exemplified thus hard to follow, music played by the band was great. Visited Fusilier House on 2016-12-31

Great ceilidh event in London. By far the centerpiece was the band who were energetic, friendly and knock out a foot stomping Military Two Step. They even doubled up on the reception and bar!! The venue was also great for ceilidhs with tables and chairs at the side but plenty of room to allow 100+ revellers to reel. Price was just about right (for London) ;-) Well done to Fiddle Paradiddle for putting on a great night. Visited Fusilier House on 2016-12-31

This was the most fun I've had in a long time, and the dances were easy to follow despite drinking way too much cider! Great way to start the New Year!
