JOZEF K
Jozef makes and plays music from the heart, he began his career DJing at Sankeys Manchester aged 19, became official resident at 20 and went on to tour the world, with shows in New York, Beijing, Moscow and the rest of Europe.
As a producer he has received DJ support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, B.Traits, Kim Ann Foxman and many more. Kim released Jozef’s track 'Tribal Rhythm' on her NYC based Label Firehouse, this was made with production partner Winter Son. The pairing have released on a variety of the biggest house and techno labels around, from Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, to San Francisco based Acid Test (which also featured Tin Man) joining the likes of Recondite, Tale of Us, Donato Dozzy and even John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to the vinyl only label Chiwax, who have released the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and more. The pairing also regularly release with legendary UK label, Skint. Jozef K & Winter Son have received glowing reviews from major publications such as Mixmag and DJmag, and have had numerous plays on BBC Radio 1. Their sound is influenced by early Chicago house, atmospheric techno and UK rave, resulting in the deadly combination of emotion, energy and depth. Individually he has remixed Bicep, as well as releasing on Brazilian label Upfront Sounds.
Jozef is one of the main DJ's for the legendary Tribal Sessions, playing across London, Manchester and Ibiza. Winner of ‘best Ibiza newcomer’ at the Sankeys awards. The ultimate testament to Jozef’s DJing was when he was asked to record a mix live in the BBC Radio 1 studios and most recently to record the Hot Mix for Pete Tong’s global All Gone Pete Tong show, joining the biggest names in worldwide dance music.
