Música Noche With Clandestino

….”After a brief hiatus from our spiritual home, Musica Noche return to the original disco pub The Horse & Groom for a one-off event featuring special guests Clandestino.

This Leeds based mini-collective have been making waves for some time both on the live club / festival circuit and through their regular radio show on Leeds community station KMAH, alongside the likes of Bill Brewster, Man Power and Craig Bratley. Expect a broad pallet of sounds with machine funk specialities guaranteed!”

Upstairs- Untitled For next months party we have Truly Madly & Chris Seddon who will be doing a special b2b set. With appearanes a some of the UK’s best festivals i.e Field Moves stage at Field Manuvers the last few years we are very excited to have them play together for us in such an intimate setting.

If you haven’t checked out Truly Madly’s DEEPRAVE mix series you really should… We were lucky enough to see this guy play earlier in the year and must say he is one of the best DJ’s in the game. He’s been DJing since the 90’s and his His record collection is pretty much unparalleled so it’s guaranteed to be a special night.

Clandestino are a trio of DJs, promoters and producers from Leeds, UK

Clandestino aka Joe Morris, Nick Smith & Iain Mac have been involved in the city’s underground music scene for over 15 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and bringing exciting new DJ talent to town. Their visionary booking policy saw them invite Erol Alkan, Tim Sweeney, Simian Mobile Disco, Todd Terje, Optimo and Joakim to Leeds long before they became the established acts they are today.Their sound takes in influences from the glory days of Acid House, the melodic elements of Balearica and the energy of Disco while always being focused at the dance floor.

Now starting to become in demand themselves, Clandestino have a bunch of releases out in 2015; an EP & remix for Manchester’s EL Diablos Social Club, an EP for Rothmans Music, an exclusive track for Yam Who’s Midnight Riot compilation, plus remixes for Tronik Youth’s Nein Records imprint.Clandestino’s own podcast series is revered world wide; with regular mixes from high calibre guests such as Andrew Weatherall, Jennifer Cardini, Eskimo Twins, Headman and many more.

This venue serves Mexican food.

A word from the chef:
Gourmet Gorditas-Gourmet Gorditas was started by Santiago and Pedro, two authentic and unique Mexicans who wanted to bring something authentic and unique from their homeland to London. Gorditas are hand-made flatbreads stuffed with different kind of fillings, a type of street food that's incredibly popular in the north of Mexico (where Santiago was born and raised), but has yet to be discovered by most Londoners. Gourmet Gorditas are the very first (and so far the only) place making gorditas in London, and after only a few months trading in Brick Lane, award-winning food blogger Chris Osburn named them one of the best street food places in Shoreditch: http://tikichris.com/2017/03/04/city-stories-point-a-street-food/#more-28032 Santiago and Pedro have created recipes that take inspiration from authentic Mexican dishes, but have given them a 'foodie' spin by using the best locally-sourced gourmet ingredients. They're life partners as well as business partners, so their company is a family affair, a life-long dream of Santiago's which together they've made a reality. If you've not heard of Burger bear by now.... Where have you been? Launched in 2012 on the street, Burger Bear can be found serving up one of London's best burgers to a sound track of disco beats all across London. Burger Bear Tom, brainchild, behind the Bear created bacon jam and makes some of the best Mac & Cheese balls you'll ever eat. Moving from street food to venues, he now has a spot in Peckham, The Magic Roundabout on the top of Old Street Station and Stokey Bears, in, you've guessed it Stoke Newington. This winter, he is holding up the reins at The Horse and Groom pub where you'll find him cooking up creative interpretations of classic American dishes with Great British ingredients. Inspired dishes to keep you felling warm inside this Christmas. There'll also be some XXXmas classics on the menu too!
