upstairs- Faro & Friends is a new bi monthly series, in which to put it simply, Faro invites her pals down to play sweet sweet tunes with her all night long. First up, she has Coastal Haze’s Buddy Love and duo Kassian joining her ‘pon the decks. 

BUDDY LOVE
Coastal Haze producer & DJ Buddy Love specialises in the cosier side of house music. His music is ripened with lush and hazy tones and his DJ sets are continuously varied and exciting, ranging from wonky balearic disco to hazey house grooves to slick garage and minimal. Last year saw him releasing his second EP ‘Sorry I’m Drifting’, appear regularly on Rinse France and perform B2B club sessions with Seb Wildblood.

KASSIAN
Formed of Danvers and Warren Xclnce, Kassian is a project recently spawned at a chance meeting in Peckham. Danvers’ background in the Bristol club scene as well as Warren’s collaborations with top producers means that the duo already have a barrel full of experience behind them. Influenced by Broken Beat, Jazz, Soul and Hip-Hop, Kassian produces innovative house music with a personal touch. Their first EP release ‘The Premises’ was quickly noticed by Detroit Swindle and signed to Heist Recordings, which lead the title song to being nominated as WorldWide’s Track of the year 2018.

FARO
Hailing out of Brighton, the now London based DJ is rapidly making her mark here already. She’s had various residencies over both cities and beyond, supporting the likes of Horse Meat Disco, Jeremy Underground, Chaos In The CBD, Moxie and more, as well as holding down a monthly Balamii radio show. Having started the year with a mix and interview for The Identification of Music group, the next couple of months are looking just as bright and busy as she plays at XOYO, Patterns and other local hotspots with big headliners, whilst working on her own productions.
