Description
A Night of Marvin Gaye returns to The Jazz Cafe for a Lover’s special on Valentine’s Day.
We pays tribute to the Prince of Soul with a full live band performance of his greatest hits from Sexual Healing to Let's Get it On...just how Marvin, himself sang them!
Marvin Gaye was truly one of the greatest soul singer-songwriter to have been. Rising in the Motown era throughout the 1960s and 1970s, he made successful popular music, whilst also using his reach to spread a powerful and political message. He produced his own records and often addressed controversial themes. He is often referred to as the Prince of Soul and died aged 44 on 1 April, 1984.
