Salvador & Amanda is one of my favourite tapas restaurant/bars in London: The tapas is always equisite and the jugs of Sangria go down a treat. The restaurant is intricately decorated you really feel like you have escaped the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden and have been transported into a Southern Spanish tapas bar.
So when I found out that they are now going to host a regular supper club night called Cirque du Surrealism I was a tad excited. What can you expect from this night of surrealism?
"Along side an incredible 8 dish spanish taster meal with accompanying wine and sherry, get a brief insight to the weird and wonderful world of Salvador Dali. We have hand-picked actors and performers to create a specialist yet intimate show which will bring flare and pizazz to your evening at Salvador & Amanda. You may want to partake in the show or just sit back and enjoy the proceedings, be dazzled by our illusionists, escapologist and contortionist, or leave your mark on our real live art work. Why not stay with us late into the evening and party to some of Amandaâ'™s great disco classics? There is something for everyone!"
The eight dish taster menu includes sea bass, prawns, octopus, pork ribs, chorizo and jamon iberico...a delectable feast! While you eat and drink, some of the acts you can expect to marvel at are a living piece of Dalinian art, a contortionist bending her way through DalÃ's melting clocks, Amanda the transgender DJ spinning 70s and 80s tracks and Mr Dalà himself, a famous escapologist.

Salvador Dali was one of the world's most controversial and wacky geniuses and Cirque du Surrealism promises to be equally as bizarre, wonderful and surreal!
The launch night is 24th March and will then take place weekly on Wednesday nights.
