A Posh Picnic Pop-Up Is Bringing Lawn Games To The South bank

Patch & Picnic DesignMyNight

With lawn bowls and games, this picnic pop-up looks perfect for summer.

Not heard of Jimmy Garcia? Then you've missed out on some of London's most iconic pop-ups, including the renowned self-cook BBQ Club (which is back this summer), along with his fondue-filled igloos. And now, the busy entrepreneur has set his sights on the humble British picnic. Giving it his Garcia flair, Patch & Picnic is a collection of four mini turfs set along South Bank, on which guests can play boules, beach tennis, swing ball and quoits. You can either bring your own food or enjoy one of the chef's hampers, which includes a series of platters topped with charcuterie from the family farm, strawberries and cream, and British cheeses. Available from bookings of six people, the new spaces are open from May, with your deposit acting as your bar tab; we're already looking forward to sipping Champagne next to the river.

Patch & Picnic is open from Saturday 4th May. Bookings start with availability for 6 people with a deposit of £135 required, which will then be redeemable against food and drink. Book in advance here
