Shawarma Hut is serving 5p wraps daily

The cheapest food in the city is a debate nearly every Londoner takes part in, but Shawarma Hut's latest offer is putting that debate to sleep for good with the introduction of 5p shawarmas. That's right, you can get a warm, tasty chicken wrap for just 5 pence. And seriously, there's no catch.

London's 5p Chicken Shawarma

Every day, from 11:30am to 1pm, the team serves 200 chicken wraps for 5p on a first-come, first-served basis. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so we suggest getting there early to secure your place in the queue.

And before you ask, yes, it is a proper chicken shawarma, not a scaled-down or snack version.

Why Are They Doing It?

The team behind Shawarma Hut cares about affordability in a city with increasing prices. But there's a bigger picture, too.

Alongside the 5p wraps, Shawarma Hut also provides free meals to the unhoused community, serving around 50 people daily. In addition, the restaurant is actively collecting donations to support Hunger Relief.

So if you're hungry and on a budget, Shawarma Hut has you covered with the cheapest lunch in the city.

Address: 292b Walworth Road, London SE17 2TE.
