Mark Hayward was the first buyer in the world to buy negatives with copyright directly from the photographers back in 1985. Having bought the merchandise rights for the Simpsons in 1996, he reinvested in buying pop memorabilia’s such as Queens drum skin, John Lennon’s circular bathtub and handwritten lyrics by Jimi Hendrix for love and confusion, now sitting in the Experience museum in Seattle.
Mark fulfilled a dream when he signed and worked with Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones to his record label UFO described by Charlie as the best two years of his life, certainly was for Mark.
Marks favourite photographs are a bearded Eric Clapton showing John and Yoko Lennon what he thought of Lennon's 1969 Toronto Peace Festival ( Clapton purchased one for himself ) Followed closely behind by a very young Marilyn Monroe in 1947 sticking her tongue out .These photographs and many more from Elvis with Nancy Sinatra to The Stones using the men’s urinals in Victoria Train Station , London October 1964 ,To Freddie Mercury Of Queen in his basement flat in 1969 are for sale from 19th December 2019 through to the end of January .Your chance to own a true piece of music history.
There are also framed Sun records 78rpm for sale and a great set of Stones autographs and Jimi Hendrix.
