What they say:

Billed as a "craft butchery" selling "remarkable steak" Flat Iron moved from its pop-up residency at the Owl and Pussycat to a permanent Soho site in December 2012. Dealing only in 'flat iron' cuts of steak (hence the name), Flat Iron will comprise of a 60-cover restaurant and a cool basement cocktail bar. Owner Charlie Carroll holds a simple mantra that good steak shouldn't cost the earth, "the only way to guarentee an amazing steak was to pay eye-watering prices, and that was something I wanted to change."

The move from pop-up to permanency has been a great move for Flat Iron with a new custom grill and kitchen meaning that those juicy steaks get even better treatment. Add into the equation a "top secret cocktail project" with mixology experts SoulShakers, a steady wine list and craft beers to top off the selection.

What we say:

After a highly successful pop-up run; Flat Iron headed to Soho in December 2012 ready to wow the crowds with their signature flat iron cuts of steak, coupled with a great cocktail concept served in their basement bar. Good steak and good cocktails are an unbeatable combo and this new Soho restaurant and bar will capture the imagination of visitors and overload the senses with vibrant flavours. Sadly Flat Iron doesn't take bookings so you'll have to chance your arm and head down to Beak Street to grab a table, but believe us when we say... it'll be well worth it.
