Smoke Dawg, currently at the forefront of the underground Toronto rap scene, touches down in our basement this February for his first headline show. The Skepta and Giggs collaborator is friendly with a lot of local rappers, so be assured you're in for some VERY special surprises. Smoke Dawg, part of the Halal Gang, was responsible for the hottest underground trap songs in 2015; and throughout last year has been key moves across the boarder such as his collaboration with French Montana. His raw verses, high energy beats and natural flow makes him one of the hottest trap artists to watch in 2017.
Supporting on the night we have Nafe Smallz, London born rapper & singer. A young, but truly polished artist, Nafe has supported the likes of Migos & Future throughout the UK, but most recently performed at Skepta's Ally Pally show, hand selected by the man himself. His recent singles 'Smokin Remix', 'WDYM', 'Digits Remix' along with his legendary Fire in The Booth freestyle have prepared him what is sure to be an incredible 2017, and already helped him gain a large and loyal fan base. Keep an eye out for him this year as he prepares to release his upcoming Movie Music EP.
The Gig will also feature a live performance from the Splugeboys x Paper Aero Plane collective. Becoming known as serial shellers, the PAP have had a huge 2016 playing festivals across the country with their unrivalled Grime x Trap vibe; you may of heard them recently as they took over Sian Andersons Show on BBC Radio 1xtra. Consisting of producer rappers Splurgeboys (Tee & Rocket), MC Snowy Danger, James Pyke, Kadey James & DJ Olos; expect an electric performance in true UK Fashion. Splurgeboys whose production credits include the likes of Tinie Tempah, Skepta, Fekky & Dizzie Rascal recently showcased their mic talents at XOYO with Abra Cadabra & Kojo Fundz and they can't wait to be back.
