What they say:

The Clove Club is the peacock feather in the cap for restaurant gurus Isaac, Daniel & Johnny of Young Turks fame. They are the masterminds behind the raving success of the restaurant upstairs from Ten Bells in Spitafields. Their ability to entice critics as well as the public with their modern British cuisine, intimate atmosphere and fine drinks landed them the job to steer the food and drink side of the regeneration of Shoreditch Town Hall. The iconic building set in the heartland of East London creativity and innovation, the Clove Club is set to be the bright new thing 2013 for fastidious foodies and those always ahead of the curve.

What we say:

The Shoreditch town hall is a Grade II listed building with a theatre and a multi-functional art space and there isn't any trio more suited to manage the new restaurant and bar. The Clove Club doesn’t over-complicate things, proclaiming an ethos of “good food, good conversation and good music”.  They have eighty seats spread over two rooms offering a five course set menu (including previous hits such as buttermilk chicken with pine salt, razor clams baked in hay) and a lighter bar menu.

People will walk through fire to see what the Ten Bells boys are up to next, us included. Let’s hope they can rise to the occasion with the new Clove Club in Shoreditch. Fingers crossed; Napkin tucked in shirt; Mouth watering in anticipation for their February premiere…
